We decided to do some wine tasting at the Bluestone Lane Vineyard before lunch at Veraison Restaurant. We had the pleasure of friendly John, behind the wine tasting bar. He was very helpful and entertaining, explaining to us the different wines.

Veraison has an interesting Menu. All the choices sounded interesting. I had the cider pea and ham, it has pork belly as well as crackling in a bed of pea broth. It tastes amazing. My husband had the venison and he loved it. For main, I had fried barramundi with crab meat on a bed of sauce, smokey eggplant…. OMG, my barramundi was perfected cooked, the fillet was slightly soft with a very crusty skin, tasted so good. My husband had the waygu beef. We also ordered the hazelnut, orange swede, radish and spinach salad (what a delicious dressing with the salad) and blue de lagueuille pomme potatoes as our side dishes. For dessert, their signature dish, aerated parfait (violet ice cream on honeycomb and Persian fairy floss to finish the dish off).

The staff was friendly, nice setting over the vines and plenty of car parking space. They also cater for weddings. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch there today, we will certainly be back.
