Where do you go when you’re a foodie, and want to be surprised with something you’d not cook at home? We have been impressed with Mark and Sherrie’s really interesting food each time we’ve been to Veraison. I went with my 2 sisters for lunch and enjoyed it all tremendously. Gamon wrapped sweetbreads – I’d never considered cooking them. But, honestly, Mark did wonders with that dish. Including a to die for caramellized parsnip custard in the middle with jus swimming around it. It was worth going there to see the look of rapture on my sister’s face as she tried to work out each flavour and texture. The desserts are a must have with amazing ice-creams complementing beautiful creations. Sherie is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about food and the wine they are justifiably proud of. Best sparkling wine we’ve had. Worth going to this beautiful place. Enjoy it. Sue E.
